I think of the music I make as found sound. It’s both of me and not of me. It’s there, it’s always been there, waiting for someone to pluck it from the ether. It exists within chosen and unchosen parameters, as I reach for measures of control and expression only to ebb once more towards letting go.

This music was made through a period of transition and deeper acceptance in my life; a constant, to be fair, but this one in particular has been especially transformative for me. The older I get, the more I think it’s deeply necessary to just be whoever I am in every moment—all that entails. Love more, do less. Eschew the façade and sit in reality.

Remember the spark before you thought to hide it—it just needs a bit of fuel.
